DI in Brussels

The EU provides access to the Single Market, exports and Danish jobs, while also giving Denmark a stronger voice in and beyond Europe. Therefore, DI has an office in Brussels to represent the policy interests of DI’s member companies.

DI works for the interests of Danish companies in Europe

The Single Market has increased trade between the member countries and generated growth and jobs in every country, including Denmark. Nearly two-thirds of the total Danish exports go to the Single Market, making it the largest export market for Danish companies. If the Single Market functions well in sectors of importance to Denmark, Danish companies will enjoy greater access to new markets and be able to generate greater earnings in Denmark.

DI’s role in Brussels is to promote solutions beneficial to Danish industry. Our presence ensures that we can engage in direct dialogue with decisionmakers regarding the tangible impact of proposals on Danish companies and Danish interests. The goal is to create fair rules and real competition based on quality and price.

In case Danish companies run into obstacles when trading on the Single Market, DI provides assistance and guidance.
